<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of uniformly supplying ion into a storage compartment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This refrigerator includes the storage compartment 6 receiving stored objects, a cooler 57 producing cold air, a cold air pathway 27 provided on a back face of the storage compartment 6 to circulate the cold air produced by the cooler 57, discharge ports 15a, 15b opened in the cold air pathway 27 and discharging the cold air into the storage compartment 6, and an ion generator 86 having discharge electrodes 86p, 86q and discharging the ion to the cold air pathway 27. The cold air pathway 27 has a shielding section 28f shielding part of the airflow to laterally branch the airflow, and guiding the cold air to the discharge ports 15a, 15b and the ion generator 86 is disposed near the shielding section 28f.
