The battery (1) has a cooling device for cooling battery cells (2) i.e. flat-type frame cells, that form a cell group. Electrical components e.g. cell voltage monitoring elements and/or cell voltage balancing elements, are provided for monitoring and/or controlling battery functions, and the cooling device has a cooling plate (3) arranged at the cell group. A pressure plate (5) i.e. printed circuit board, is arranged at the cell group for pressing the battery cells at the cooling plate, and has one of the electrical components.
