The reactor has a fluidized bed (14) arranged in a reactor container (6) and comprising a base-forming fluidized bed phase (62) in a lower area and an easy fluidized bed phase in an upper area. A heat transport device (60) couples and decouples heat from the base-forming fluidized bed phase within the lower area of the container. A turbulent fluidized bed phase (64) is arranged between the base-forming fluidized bed phase and the easy fluidized bed phase. Primary air outlets (42) supply a primary fluidization medium i.e. air, within the lower area of the base-forming fluidized bed phase.
