A wagering method and system automatically selects an event outcome on which a wager is to be placed. Fixed odds information for possible event outcomes is used in making a weighted random selection of an event outcome. A wager is created according to the weighted random selection. Limitations may be placed on the event outcomes to exclude some outcomes from the selection process.
