<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable interconversion between a GE-PON frame and an 802.11 MAC frame. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless LAN apparatus converts the GE-PON frame that is propagated on an optical access line into the 802.11 MAC frame that is propagated on a radio channel. The wireless LAN apparatus comprises means for: storing a portion of or an overall preamble including an LLID (Logical Link Identifier) in the preamble of the GE-PON frame into a predetermined position in an 802.11 MAC header of the 802.11 MAC frame or into a predetermined position in the 802.11 MAC frame; copying a destination address, source address, type and data part of the GE-PON frame to a destination address, source address, type and data part of the 802.11 MAC frame; generating FCS to generate the 802.11 MAC frame; and converting one GE-PON frame into one 802.11 MAC frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
