<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN access point which evades the useless occupancy of a wireless band by optimally setting the transmission rate of multicast data and does not generate jitters even when there is a terminal during power saving. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless LAN access point 1 for performing multicast communication with a plurality of terminals 6 includes: a reception means 20 for receiving prescribed data from the terminals; a unicast transmission rate determination means for determining the optimum transmission rate for each terminal as a unicast transmission rate from the transmission rate of the prescribed data; and a multicast transmission rate determination means for determining the lowest unicast transmission rate as a multicast transmission rate which is the transmission rate of the multicast transmission to the terminals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
