PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device manufactured by using a one drop fill (ODF) method which allows a connection state of a sealant to be confirmed after bonding of a pair of substrates to each other. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display device 10, common wiring 13 is drawn around in a peripheral part of a display region 25 on a surface of one substrate 11 on the liquid crystal side out of a pair of substrates, and a notched part 13a is formed in the common wiring 13, and a sealant 16 is applied like a closed loop, and a connection part between an application start point and an application end point of the sealant 16 like a closed loop is formed in a position which, in a plan view, overlaps the notched part 13a formed in the common wiring.
