PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus having a wider viewing angle and obtaining satisfactory images. SOLUTION: The camera apparatus A1 includes: a light receiving means 1 that receives light from an object to be read B; an imaging means 2 disposed on an optical path L1 from the object to be read B to the light receiving means 1 so as to image the light from the object B on the light receiving means 1; and an optical means 3 disposed on the optical path L1 from the object B to the imaging means 2 so as to emit the light incident from the object B toward the imaging means 2, wherein the optical means 3 is configured so that the incident light may be more converged and emitted in the first direction x, of first and second directions x and y that crosses the extending direction of the optical path L1 and orthogonal to each other,.
