<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of analyzing a precipitate and/or inclusion in a metal material for precisely performing the analysis by size of the precipitate or the like by separating the precipitate or the like (especially ≤1 μm in size) present in the metal sample without losing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: At first, a metal sample is electrolyzed. Subsequently, the remaining part of the metal sample after electrolysis is immersed in a solution having dispersion to separate the precipitate and/or inclusion in the metal sample. At the same time, the precipitate and/or inclusion contained in an electrolytic solution after electrolysis is filtered by a collecting filter to be collected and the collecting filter is subsequently immersed in the solution having dispersion to separate the precipitate and/or inclusion in the electrolytic solution. Subsequently, the precipitate and/or inclusion separated in the solution by two steps is analyzed. In this analyzing method, as the solution having dispersion, for example, a solution wherein the absolute value of zeta potential is ≥30 mV can be used with respect to the precipitate and/or inclusion being an analysis target.
