PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition from which a film insert molded article excellent in rigidity, impact resistance, adhesion property and appearance design can be formed, and to provide a film insert molded article comprising the thermoplastic resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition for film insert molding contains 100 parts by weight of a resin component comprising (A) 100 to 50 wt.% of a polycarbonate resin (A component) and (B) 0 to 50 wt.% of a resin (B component) except for polycarbonate resin, 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of (C) an impact modifying material (C component), and 0 to 30 parts by weight of (D) an inorganic filler (D component), and shows a flexural modulus by ISO-178 of 2,200 MPa to less than 12,000 MPa.
