摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical element wherein high speed driving is made possible, an SN ratio is satisfactory and an optical signal can be turned on or off and which has high reliability and is strong and to provide a manufacturing method of the magneto-optical element. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the magneto-optical element provided with a periodical structure body includes: a step (step A4) for forming a periodical structure by periodically arranging generally spherical fine material objects 41 (e.g. polystyrene fine particles) on a substrate 43: a step (step B4) for packing a liquid resin including magnetic particles of a nano scale (e.g. a styrene monomer solution in which L10-FePt nano particles are dispersed) in the gap of the generally spherical fine material objects, which constitute a part except the periodical structure formed in the step A4; and a step C4 for forming an inversion structure 42 by solidifying the liquid resin packed in the step B4.
