摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily manufacturing an organic electroluminescent device having high luminous efficiency, and to provide the organic electroluminescent device obtained by the method, a lighting apparatus using the device, a planar light source, and a display. SOLUTION: The method includes a step of preparing a substrate on which an anode is formed, a step of forming a metal doped molybdenum oxide layer, a barrier rib forming step of forming barrier ribs on the side of the anode where a light emitting layer is formed, to define pixel regions shaped with angle portions, a light emitting layer forming step of forming the light emitting layer in the pixel regions defined by the barrier ribs by using a letterpress printing process for supplying organic luminescent ink containing organic luminescent material to constitute the light emitting layer and a solvent, and a step of forming a cathode.
