<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional tractor wherein an engine can start even when the hood of an engine room mounted with an engine is opened, and the tractor can be continuously operated if the engine is started, which leads to insufficient safety in maintenance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An engine is constituted not to be driven when a hood covering an upper side of an engine room is opened, and is constituted so that the driving of the engine is stopped when the hood is opened during the engine is driven. Also, the engine room is constituted such that right and left side covers can be detached when the hood positioned on the upper side is opened, and that a rear cover on the driver's seat side can be detached only when the side covers are detached from the engine room.
