<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam system suppressing pressure fluctuation when system power failure occurs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The steam system includes a boiler supplying steam to a high-pressure header, a turbine provided between the high-pressure header and a low-pressure header, an auxiliary boiler, and a controller 60. The controller outputs a signal MV 81 based on pressure PV 81 of the low-pressure header and a set value SV 81, outputs a signal MV 82 representing a value when power failure occurs as a value for the signal MV 81 when power failure occurs, outputs a signal MV 83 representing the sum of the value when power failure occurs and a manipulated variable ΔMV equivalent to the amount of steam increased, outputs the signal MV 81 as a signal MV 84 before the system power failure occurs, outputs the signal MV 83 as the signal MV 84 for a predetermined time from occurrence of the system power failure, outputs the signal MV 81 as the signal MV 84 after lapse of the predetermined time from occurrence of the system power failure, and controls based on the signal MV 84 the amount of steam supplied to the low-pressure header by the auxiliary boiler.
