Provided are an automatic analyzing apparatus capable of avoiding a carry-over between specimens, and a specimen batching method. The automatic analyzing apparatus (1) performs analyses of both an analysis item of a high carry-over avoiding level and an analysis item of a low carry-over avoiding level. The automatic analyzing apparatus (1) comprises a first specimen batching device (6) for performing both the specimen batch of the analysis item of the high carry-over avoiding level and the specimen small-batch of the analysis item of the low carry-over avoiding level by loading a disposable chip (60a), an aliquot container (9) for small-batching and containing a specimen for the analysis item of the low carry-over avoiding level, which has been small-batched by the first specimen batching device (6), and a second specimen batching device (5) for performing the specimen batch of the analysis item of the low carry-over avoiding level by loading a probe (50) to be continuously used.
