<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate for laser marking of sufficient coloring density, capable of using energy of a laser beam required for coloring without deteriorating a coloring efficiency, and allowing recording by the laser marking, and a marking method for the laminate. <P>SOLUTION: The laminate for the laser marking is formed into at least two-layer structure including: a layer absorbing the laser beam not colored substantially to generate heat; and a coloring layer formed in contact with the heat generating layer to receive heat generation energy of the heat generating layer, so as to be colored.
