<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not an object is a biological object base on the movement thereof in biometric determination. <P>SOLUTION: The biometric authentication device images a motion of a palm which is change from an open state to a gripping or closed state, or from the closed state to the open state, as bending and stretching of a biological object, to acquire a plurality of images. Information showing the movement of the biological object is extracted from the images, to determine whether or not the imaged object is a biological object or not. By comparing the registered movement information (or movement feature information) with the movement information (movement feature information) of a person to be determined, whether the person to be determined has been registered or not is determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
