<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device allowing the rapid completion of the expansion of an airbag and the exact catch of a pedestrian by the airbag completely expanded. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag 18 of the airbag device includes a body expansion part 21 formed for covering a front surface side of a front pillar FP at the completion of the expansion, and an outside support expansion part 24 and an inside support expansion part 25 formed to allow expansion gas to flow therein through the body expansion part 21 and supporting the body expansion part 21 at the completion of the expansion. Each of the outside support expansion part 24 and the inside support expansion part 25 is disposed between the body expansion part 21 and the front pillar FP or a section near the front pillar FP, at near the left edge or the right edge of the body expansion part 21. The airbag 18 is attached to a front pillar FP side by an attachment belt 37 extending from the outside support expansion part 24 and the inside support expansion part 25 and fastened to the front pillar FP side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
