<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select a printer desired to be used even when a user does not understand a usable function or a name of the printer desired to be used, and to install a printer driver therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 11 of a PC 10 retrieves a network connection printer, and apparatus information (including an apparatus name, installation option names, an outward appearance image for a body corresponding to the apparatus name, and an outward appearance image for the installation option name affecting an outward appearance of the printer of the installation option names) from each printer.
