PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-treated aluminum material for vacuum equipment, which has few defects in a film and excellent vacuum properties and corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing the surface-treated aluminum material for vacuum equipment, comprising forming a non-porous anodized film on the surface of an aluminum material by electrolysis, a process comprising interrupting the application of a constant voltage for 30 s or longer when a time within the range of 1-180 min has elapsed after the start of constant voltage electrolysis, and thereafter, performing the constant voltage electrolysis is performed once or repeatedly performed twice or more times.
