PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and an image processing program, for improving color reproducibility in a highlight region and a high-density region, and a recording medium with the image processing program recorded. SOLUTION: A first correction part 62a performs color space conversion from RGB image data to CMY image data. A second correction part 62b extracts a maximum data value from converted CMY image data and determines a correction coefficientαcorresponding to the extracted maximum data value and uses the determined correction coefficientαto calculate C' data, M' data, and Y' data.
