PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer-based method to align a sequence of images for synchronizing images obtained from a plurality of image sources. SOLUTION: The disclosed method includes: receiving metadata associated with images from two or more sources (102); extracting a time stamp from the metadata (104); sorting the images into sequences based at least in part upon the image source (106); measuring similarity of images from disparate sequences (108); identifying image pairs from disparate sequences with a similarity greater than a predetermined threshold (110); and aligning a sequence of images by minimizing the misalignment of pairs (112).
