PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such an erroneous detection from occurring that a parking vehicle is present despite the fact that a parking vehicle is absent by a vacant can placed on a cover near a vehicle detection coil. SOLUTION: In this vehicle detector 13 of a flap type parking device 5, the detection part cover 24 for storing the vehicle detection coils 22, 23 is provided to a coil disposition part 15 provided to one side of a flap plate 11 in the extending direction, ridge parts 41, 42 having radii of curvature of 50 mm or shorter are formed on the detection part cover 24 at the positions corresponding to the coils 22, 23, respectively, and an inclination part 43 having an inclination angle of 17°or higher is formed between the ridge parts 41, 42. A bearing storage cover 34 for storing a bearing which supports the flap plate 11 is provided to a bearing disposition part 16 between one end of the flap plate 11 in the extending direction and the coil disposition part 15.
