<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method and system for accumulating cold heat with high cost-effectiveness in a coolant system of a vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this method, liquid is cooled by a coolant circuit 3 provided with at least condenser 5 and evaporator 6, driven by a compressor and having at least the evaporator 6 assembled integrally with a liquid type heat exchanger, and a low temperature cooling circuit 2 provided with a coolant pump 9 for preferably carrying coolant of a low temperature to a cooling element 10 located in a space for a driver of the vehicle. When torque transmitted by an engine is substantial zero or negative, the coolant in the cooling circuit 2 is cooled up to a temperature lower than zero. Flow velocity of the coolant via the secondary cooling circuit 2 is adjusted so that a flow to the cooling element 10 may be increased when an air temperature after the cooling element 10 is higher than a value at a prescribed set point and the flow may be decreased when the air temperature after the cooling element 10 is lower than the value at the set point.
