<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collecting bag for vacuum cleaner wherein a filter bag body for filtering dust and dirt from a dust containing air stream to be sucked in is made hard to break, and also, a large ventilation flow passage can be ensured around the filter bag body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dust collecting bag 11 for vacuum cleaner is constituted by fixing an air-permeable filter bag body 15 onto the rear surface of a supporting plate having dust and dirt passing holes. A plurality of rear surface exhausting grooves 17a are installed on the rear surface section 17 of the filter bag body 15 which is arranged in a manner to be confronted with the rear surface of the supporting plate. The rear surface exhausting grooves 17a are indented to the inside of the filter bag body 15, and at the same time, are opened to the outside of the filter bag body 15.
