A method for protecting pop maize against lepidopterous pests includes procedures of settling the Trichogramma preliminary grown in a biolaboratory onto plants. In an agrocenosis of pop maize mixtures of two plant species, in particular cheeseflower (Malva pusilla) and sunflower (Helianthus cultus Wenzl), are grown. They are grown for silage, in a ratio of 1:1 in each of the fifth row spacing of the maize. In the period of the beginning of mass egg laying of females of lepidopterous pests double settling onto plants of two species of Trichogramma is carried out with an interval of 8-10 days.
