<p>The issue is to maintain the vacuum in the vacuum chamber without using a bellows, permit capacitance to be easily adjusted, and mitigate lowered life of the vacuum capacitor. A stationary electrode (4) is made by laminating, within the vacuum chamber (1b), multiple flat electrode members (5) with a gap between each in relation to the direction of the axis of the vacuum chamber (1b). A movable electrode (7) is an electrode made by laminating multiple flat electrode members (8) with a gap between each within the vacuum chamber (1b) on a movable electrode shaft (9), whereby each electrode member (8) alternately crosses over and enters or exits the spaces between the electrode members (5) of the stationary electrode (4) without contact due to the rotation of the movable electrode shaft (9). A flux receiving section (12) is affixed at the side of a seal member (3) on the movable electrode shaft (9) within the vacuum chamber (1b), and a capacitance operating section (14) that has a flux generating section (13) is rotatably supported on the outside of the seal member (3). The capacitance operating section (14) is rotated, the flux receiving section (12) is rotated by magnetic attraction, and capacitance is adjusted by the cross-over area of the movable electrode (7) and the stationary electrode (4) being changed.</p> |
