PURPOSE: A method for preparing ergocalciferol is provided to enhance ergocalciferol which is vitamin D and to ensure disinfection and insecticidal effects using gamma rays. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing ergocalciferol comprises: a step of dissolving erogosterol in solvent, and a step of irradiating dissolvent product with radiation. The solvent is selected from the group consisting of buffer, medium, alcohol, and distilled water. The gamma rays are selected from the group of gamma rays, electronic beam, and X rays.
