PURPOSE: A laser projector and a method for controlling a scanning line in the same are provided to improve image quality by maintaining the uniform gap between scanning lines. CONSTITUTION: A scanner scans a vide signal of a first field from the first scanning line to the last scanning line of the first field in the direction from a first side to a second side, and the scanner is returned to a start point of the second filed through a return scanning lines of odd number. The scanner sequentially scans the video signal of the second filed from the first to last scanning lines of the second filed in the same direction of the first field.
