PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing member capable of sufficiently absorbing shock energy. SOLUTION: When the collision load is input along the axial direction of a cylindrical structure having a polygonal section, deformation-inducing parts 2 juxtaposed along the axial direction of the cylindrical structure so as to induce the deformation of the cylindrical structure are firstly deformed, and reinforcing parts 3 provided between the deformation-inducing parts 2, 2 to reinforce a ridge 1a constituting the cylindrical structure are deformed. Thus, the deformation resistance is increased by the reinforcing parts 3, degradation of the deformation resistance is suppressed in a flat FS characteristic, and the uniform deformation resistance is maintained thereby.
