<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a voltage controlled temperature compensation piezoelectric oscillator, wherein the deviation of frequency-temperature characteristics from the initial characteristics is extremely small when the external control voltage is changed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The voltage controlled temperature compensation piezoelectric oscillator includes a voltage controlled oscillation circuit 6, an AFC circuit 9 which outputs a control voltage for controlling the oscillation frequency of the voltage controlled oscillation circuit 6 based on the external control voltage, a temperature compensation voltage generation circuit 5 which generates a temperature compensation voltage, and a variable gain circuit 8 which varies the gain of the temperature compensation voltage, wherein the variable gain circuit 8 is controlled by a control voltage V<SB>AFC</SB>output from the AFC circuit 9, and the oscillation frequency of the voltage controlled oscillation circuit 6 is controlled by the output voltage from the variable gain circuit 8.
