<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a winding magnetic core from coming off through an opening portion of the inner circumferential side surface of an armature and a magnetic pole from coming off to the outside of a field element due to a centrifugal force. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This rotating electric machine (60) includes a field element (50) having a magnetic pole portion (52) arranged therein, and an armature (40) arranged oppositely to the field element. The armature has an armature yoke (20) and a winding magnetic core (10) arranged in the armature yoke (20). The armature yoke (20) has a fitting groove (22) on its main surface so as to have an opening on the inner circumferential side surface. The winding magnetic core is arranged so that its lower part is suitable for the fitting groove, the magnetic pole portion is urged inside the diameter direction by the component of the diameter direction of a magnetic attraction force acting to between the magnetic pole portion and the winding magnetic core, and the winding magnetic core is urged to the outside of the diameter direction.
