<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of adding a file name indicating content of file data without requiring the time and effort of a user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A recording apparatus includes: a recording unit 14 for recording a schedule data 111 including content information 111B indicative of a schedule content, and time information 111A indicative of the execution date and time of the schedule; a system microcomputer 11 for acquiring a record file data and recording time information indicative of the recording time of the record file data; and the system microcomputer 11 for adding the content information 111B to the file name of the acquired record file data, and for causing the recording unit 14 to record the record file data with the file name added thereto, by referring to the recording time information acquired by the system microcomputer 11 and the schedule data recorded in the recording unit 14, when the whole or a part of time range of the recording time information overlaps the time information 111A.
