<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality determining device of a cylinder internal pressure sensor for accurately determining abnormality by responsiveness reduction in the cylinder internal pressure sensor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This abnormality determining device includes the cylinder internal pressure sensor 38 for detecting cylinder internal pressure of an internal combustion engine 10, a generating calorific value arithmetic operation means for arithmetically operating a generating calorific value PV<SP>κ</SP>based on cylinder internal pressure P detected by the cylinder internal pressure sensor 38, the cylinder internal volume V when detecting the cylinder internal pressure P and the ratio of specific heat κ of gas in a cylinder, a reduction quantity arithmetic operation means for arithmetically operating a reduction quantity of the generating calorific value PV<SP>κ</SP>in a predetermined crank angle period of an expansion stroke after finishing combustion in the cylinder, and a determining means for determining that the abnormality is caused in the cylinder internal pressure sensor 38 when the reduction quantity is larger than a predetermined reference value.
