The device (1) has a side shell carrier (2) for introducing side shells (9, 10), and positioning drums (3-5) arranged at sides of the carrier and provided for operating and aligning the side shells inside the device. The carrier has a number of grippers that are provided for inner-sided gripping of the side shells and centrally operated by an operating element. Each drum has three positioning arms (13-15) including connecting elements e.g. vacuum systems, at end sides of the arms. An independent claim is also included for a method for handling side shells. |
