METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING PROXY MOBILE INTERNET PROTOCOL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for supporting a proxy mobile Internet protocol in a wireless communication network and a system thereof are provided to offer an MIPv6 service also about a terminal which an MIPv6 function has nothing. CONSTITUTION: An address of an LMA(Localized Mobility Anchor) and a HNP(Home Network Prefix) of a terminal are received from an AAA(Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) server in a network entry and authentication procedure of the terminal(S202). Proxy binding update using the HNP is requested to an LMA corresponding to the LMA(S206). Proxy binding update acknowledge is received from the LMA(S212). A router advertisement message including the HNP is transmitted(S218).
