PURPOSE: A video on demand system which is in associated with the cable broadcasting content and video retrieval result or the moving picture is provided to use the moving picture which is in associated with the desired cable broadcasting content conveniently. CONSTITUTION: The cable network(10) interlinks the cable broadcast communications system(20) and set top box(30). The cable broadcast communications system transmits the broadcast signal or the broadcast content through the cable network to a user. When a user requests the video on demand which is in associated with through the set top box with the cable broadcasting content, the broadcast communications system offers the corresponding video on demand. The video reproduction apparatus(40) reproduces the broadcast content.
