<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compatibly achieve improvement in heat transfer to an image, and improvement in releasing property, releasing durability and glossiness (gloss) relative to the image. <P>SOLUTION: The image heating device has: the heating rotating member 10 having a releasing layer 12 composed of base material 12b and filler material 12a; a heating member 20 heating the heating rotating member; and a backup member 30 coming into contact with the releasing layer to form a nip part N, and it holds, conveys and heats recording material P carrying an image T by the nip part.
