<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device responding to a change in gradation characteristics and reducing the number of reference lines. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes: a conversion part for converting an input image signal containing a data value of a first bit number into a γ conversion signal containing a data value of a second bit number, a memory cell for storing a data value corresponding to the γ conversion signal, and a control unit for outputting an output image signal on the basis of the data value when the memory cell has a data value corresponding to the γ conversion signal stored therein, and an output image signal on the basis of a written data value, the data value corresponding to the γ conversion signal having been written in one of the memory cells. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
