PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small drum device in a simple structure, capable of automatically winding and delivering a rope according to the tension of the rope wound around a drum. SOLUTION: This drum device includes a main shaft 21, the rotary drum 1 wound with the rope 3, etc. journaled by the main shaft 21, a screw shaft 27 formed in part of the main shaft 21, a sliding hardware 51 containing a bush 25 screwed to the screw shaft 27 and held to be rotatable together with the drum and to be movable in the main shaft direction, and a buffer mechanism interposed between the inside surface of the drum and the sliding hardware.
