PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat slide structure equipped with a nut-holding member that has sufficient strength to prevent deformation, is easily formed, and allows miniaturization. SOLUTION: The seat slide structure for an automobile as a seat includes a screw rod 1, a nut member 2 to be threadedly engaged with the screw rod 1, and a nut-holding member 5 holding the nut member 2 accommodated in a nut case 4. The nut-holding member 5 comprises a holding part body 6 having a plate-like front piece 62, a rear piece 63 and a lower piece 64, and a rib 7 having a left rib piece 71 and a right rib piece 72, thus forming a box-like shape.
