PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency use lighting device 16 for clearly notifying detection of life of an electrolytic capacitor C2, and preventing the electrolytic capacitor C2 detected of its life from reaching an abnormal state. SOLUTION: After the component life detection means 52 carries out detection of life of the electrolytic capacitor C2, lighting of the LED 14 by the regular lighting circuit 30 is stopped, charging of the battery 17 by the charging circuit 27 is stopped, and at the same time, power of the battery 17 is discharged. In addition to stopping of both the regular lighting circuit 30 and the charging circuit 27, power of the battery 17 is discharged, and, after power discharging of the battery 17, the battery 17 is also prevented from functioning as a power source, so that the electrolytic capacitor C2 is relieved from a burden, and is prevented from reaching an abnormal state.
