<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flooring material which has water-repellent treatment applied to a groove surface constituting a decorative groove and a decorative joint on the floor surface of the flooring material, and which is excellent in water repellency, oil repellency and contamination resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This flooring material (flooring material body A), in which the decorative groove (V-shaped groove 4) is formed on the surface by cutting work etc., is characterized in that the exposed groove surface constituting the decorative groove (V-shaped groove 4) partially or wholly has an angle of contact of a waterdrop at rest set at 90° or more and has an angle of contact of an oleic droplet at rest set at 30° or more. In this case, the exposed groove surface of the decorative groove (V-shaped groove 4) is coated or impregnated with a water-repellent agent (solution-like water-repellent agent 5) with the above surface characteristics.
