<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording head stable in inkjet characteristics, and capable of diminishing the generation of chips and cracks at the tip of an end of a partition wall when manufactured or used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A lacking part 18 is formed between the tip 19 of the end 17 of the partition wall 11 and a nozzle plate 20. A flow path-forming substrate 10 formed with the partition wall 11 is subjected to force by a temperature change of the ink jet recording head 1 or when bonding the flow path-forming substrate 10 and the nozzle plate 20 with adhesive in manufacturing. Though the cuneal end 17 of the partition wall 11 is also subjected to the force, the applied force is dissipated at the lacking part 18 so as not to subject the tip 19 of the end 17 of the partition wall 11 to the force. Hence, the generation of chips and cracks at the tip 19 of the end 17 of the partition wall 11 can be diminished in manufacturing or use of the ink jet recording head 1 to obtain the ink jet recording head 1 stable in ink jet characteristics.
