The present invention relates to the use of a stabilizing composition comprising an effective stabilizing amount of at least one merocyanine derivative having an absorption maximum of 350 to 400nm, and at least one UV filter selected from benzotriazole derivatives; and optionally at least one excited state quencher; for the protection of body care and household products against the deleterious effects of light, heat and oxygen.
