<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination control system carrying out lighting control of a lighting fixture at a given region where a human being exists, by detecting existence of a human being without the use of a human detection sensor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The illumination control system includes: lighting fixtures 4a to 4n each equipped with a light source 9t, a fixture communicating part sending fixture address signals A1 to An set for each lighting fixture 4a to 4n and receiving lighting control signals, and a control terminal 9a to 9n controlling lighting of the light source in accordance with the lighting control signals received; a tag 7 equipped with a communicating part for receiving fixture address signals sent from the fixture communicating part and sending the fixture address signals received; and a central control device 2 which has a receiving part receiving the fixture signals from a communicating part of a memory storing a fixture address map made up by making an arrangement of the lighting fixtures correspond to fixture addresses, wherein, when receiving the fixture address signal from this receiving part, the device 2 reads out the lighting fixture and those around it arranged within a given region from the memory and lights up those lighting fixtures.
