<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger using a capillary tube as a flow passage for one heat exchanging fluid which implements satisfactory thermal efficiency despite a compact size by drastically increasing a heating surface area between one fluid flowing in the capillary tube and the other fluid exchanging heat therewith. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A helical tube 20 having a wall surface plastically worked to form a helical rib 21 is disposed in a cylinder 10 with the crest of the rib 21 in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder 10, and the capillary tube 30 is wound on an outer circumferential surface of the cylinder 10. The assembly is brazed in a heating furnace. One heat exchanging fluid flows in the capillary tube 30 and the other fluid flows in a helical passage 23 formed between the cylinder 10 and the helical tube 20. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
