<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor attachable to different engine rooms and channels for each model without preparing many variations of the gas sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 includes a detection element 10 having a detection part 11 to detect a specific gas component in a measured gas, a cylindrical main fitting 50 surrounding the perimeter in radial direction of the detection element 10, a protector 100 containing the detection part 11 of the detection element 10 therein and fixed to the main fitting, a cylindrical metal outer case 30 containing the back end side of the detection element 10 therein and fixed to the main fitting 50, and a resin fixing part 220 fixed to at least one of the main fitting 50 and the outer case 30 and having an attaching hole 221 to attach to a channel flowing the measured gas, in which the protector 100 has a gas introduction part 115 capable of introducing the measured gas from outside to inside of the protector 100, and the attaching part 221 and the gas introduction part 115 have a specific positional relation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
