<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent enlargement and reduction of a rubber boot due to a change of temperature in a motor housing of an electric motor and to improve durability of the rubber boot in an electric power-steering device. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric power-steering device, a motor housing 12C of an electric motor 20 is provided in a gear box, a control unit performing drive control of the electric motor 20 is connected through a feeding cable 60 to the electric motor 20 in the motor housing 12C, the electric motor 20 is driven corresponding to a steering torque applied to a steering wheel, and an output of the electric motor 20 is transmitted to a rack shaft 13 as a steering assist force. Further, a vent passage communicating a communication space 80 for the gear box, the motor housing 12C and the rubber boot with the control unit is provided within a cross-section of the cable 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
