<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of avoiding the leakage of secret information without putting excessive burdens on the user. <P>SOLUTION: A display control part 79 controls to display an inquiry screen related to necessity/unnecessity of setting private-printing with respect to a new printing job together with information about a standby time calculated by a standby time calculation part 74, on the display screen of a touch panel part 53. When the user viewing the inquiry screen display judges that it takes a relatively long time to start the new printing job while referring to the standby time of the new printing job as a useful judgment material related to the necessity/unnecessity of setting the private printing, the user performs an input operation related to the necessity of setting the private printing.
